The Convention's official agenda begins on Thursday, November 7 with a selection of three presentations: secondary marketing, VA Appraisal and Valuation, and a Trainer session for VHDA (earn 3 AMB credits for this Trainer session). After an afternoon of applicable education, get ready to be transported to Las Vegas! by joining us at Casino Night. Toss the dice and try your hand at the Wheel of Fortune, Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette for a chance to win prizes! The fun is spurred on by a Disc Jockey. The stakes are high and so is the fun! A portion of the proceeds will go towards VAMPAC. Casino night is preceded by the Past Presidents' Reception.
On Friday, November 8: Start your day by seeing the latest products and services at the Marketplace Exhibit. Breakfast opens with a presentation by Attorney General Jerry Kilgore, followed by a motivation presentation to get you charged and ready to learn from the featured speaker, Greg Frost,
one of America's Top Mortgage Originators. Spend lunch with Lt. Governor Timothy Kaine. The day continues with dynamic speakers addressing topics that have a direct bearing on your day-to-day operations on issues ranging from "How to Raise a Score within Days", to Freddie Mac to Retirement, Financial and College Planning. The evening will celebrate the installation of VMBA's 2003 leadership. After dinner, be prepared to be entertained and dazzled by MAGIC.Saturday, November 9 begins with breakfast and a presentation by Laura Posey. Morning session continues with speakers covering current issues on VA, FHA, VHDA and Networking. The convention concludes at noon, but the enjoyment continues! Stay through the weekend with your family and take advantage of Kingsmill's recreation opportunities: take the free shuttle to Williamsburg's sights such as Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg or shopping at Merchant's Square. Sign up for the Golf Academy which immediately follows the conclusion of the convention. Relax at Kingsmill's marina, spa or sports club.
Kingsmill Reservations Once you've registered for the convention, you may then make your reservation to stay at the award-winning Kingsmill Resort, located on the shores of the majestic James River. Hotel reservations must by be made by October 7, 2002 to receive the reduced group rate of $169 + tax (8.5%) per night for guestrooms (single or double occupancy; kids stay for free!) Suites are available for $239 - $249. Be sure to tell the reservations desk that you are registered with the VMBA Convention in order to take advantage of the group rate.
